Unique idea for a proposal
January 9, 2008 by grandevents ·
In case he hasn’t popped the question yet, but you think he might be getting ready to you might want to make sure he sees this. The Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History is opening a Live Butterfly Pavilion on Valentine’s Day 2008 and would like to invite one happy couple to “Feel the Flutter” by getting engaged among more than 300 live butterflies. The exhibit doesn’t technically open to the public until Feb. 15, so the lucky couple will have the pavilion all to themselves (with the exception of the butterfly onlookers) for the momentous occasion.
As a thank you, the lucky couple will be invited to a VIP reception on the evening of Feb. 14 where celebrities, local officials, Smithsonian representatives and supporters will gather to celebrate the opening of the new exhibit (and their engagement, of course!). Anyone interested should contact Natasha Collins (natasha.collins@fleishman.com )for more details.

You’ve probably seen some choreographed dances like this one on You Tube. They are great and are sure to keep you’re guests talking about your wedding for years to come!
But if you are wanting something a little more subdued, try Dancing Together, a 90-minute DVD, designed for couples who may have limited time or budgets to prepare for their first dance. ($24.99 plus shipping.)
For 10 years, Julee Mertz and Dave Rentauskas have been working with couples preparing for their first dance at their weddings. They have found there are a few fundamental moves which couples may string together to create a dance that is impressive, romantic and relaxed. Even if you’ve never danced together before, you’ll look like you’ve been dancing together for years.
