About Us
After spending 18 years in the fashion industry, I realized my passion for wedding and event planning while planning my daughter’s wedding. Very quickly I found out how important it is to have someone whose “job” it is to plan the grand event!
Foolishly, I chose to handle all the details myself rather than hire a professional consultant. I had no idea how many hours would be required to plan a wedding. The responsibility for all the details also caused me to miss some of the fun of her wedding day.
It was still one of the most exciting and fulfilling times of my life and I determined that this is the path I wanted to take with my career. Thus, Grand Events was conceived. After successfully completed the Dallas Wedding Planner Training Program I became a Certified Wedding Consultant.
Over the past several years I have enjoyed helping numerous happy couples turn their dreams for their weddings into reality. While I do employ the help of wedding day assistants, I remain involved in the planning of each and every wedding. It is a blessing and honor to be allowed to be a part of such an important day. I cherish the relationships that I have made with the brides, grooms and their parents. One mother even started referring to me as her “temporary best friend”. Even though this is my job, I still have tears in my eyes as every bride walks down the aisle.
